Great Acid Reducer

All my life - starting at the age of 27 yrs ,I've had stomach problems,
I had a hard time to eat any food or drinks; as it would give me some
kind of stomach acid or problems. I've seen doctors,and they kept giving
me meds for this problem,and everytime the symtoms kept coming back over
and over again; I'm now 58 yrs , and just 4 years ago, I whent to see my
doctor,and he give me a pricription for acid reducers;from a phramcy;they
helped a little for about 3 or 4 months,until my insurance stop paying for
the pricription ( they found out how long I had to be on them )anyway I
started to pay for my meds out of my pockets,and thats when the doctor told me about Prilosec OTC over the counter,and ever since then I've been
Heartburn FREE for 4 years,Of course my heartbruns; where so bad,that I have to take 2 a day for heaven knows for how long; I know this can be costly,but I don't care,I've suffered long enough with heartburns,and now I'm Heartburn Free... Thank God.

Life Changing Product!

My husband and I have taken many products for heartburn including prescription for the "purple pill." Prilosec is now a daily medication for both of us and we have no heartburn. I have a hiatal hernia...and have been taking this daily for a number of years now, started back in the days when this was a prescription item. Couple of weeks ago I forgot to take one for two days, and yep, basic problem w/hernia returned.

The only problem with this product is the packaging which I noticed Consumer's Guide picked up on last month. It'll GIVE you a stomach ache trying to get down to the pill. Doesn't anyone at Prilosec have to take a pill out of the foil packaging themselves and see they have problems???

But still, the greatest medication.

could heartburn and acid be things of the past ???

IMPORTANT NOTE: PLEASE READ DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USING

Prilosec OTC saved the day for me on numerous occasions when I had heartburn. This drug also fights acid in your stomach; and that's a big help! The tablets are easy to swallow and you should use them before any expiration date printed on the outside of the purple box.

My one complaint is that Prilosec takes one to four days for it to give you the full effect. Although they say that some people get full relief in one day, it took me a couple of days to get the full effect. If you must have total relief from your stomach trouble right away then you need to choose another drug. This does disappoint me so I will take off one star to make this a four star review.

Of course, if you have any questions about this drug that aren't addressed on the outside package then you should consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Overall, Prilosec worked for me and I hope you get relief from it. It isn't for everybody because it can take one to four days for people to get the "full effect;" but it does help many, many people.
