Pedometers for wellness

We have purchased these pedometers as part of a wellness program for our employees. So far the response as been great. They are very accurate and durable. They are also easy to program and the memory function is helpful.

great tool, but weak clip

The aerobic step and calorie calculators are really nice. The belt clip on the back of the unit is extremely weak. If the small clip breaks, the unti will be useless.

It's great, better than I expected

After reading several different reviews on the Pedometers and reviewing a comparison done in a magazine, we selected the Omron HJ-112 Digital Premium Pedometer. It is perfect for us! great, better than expected. The double clip on system is important to use so we don't lose it.

Everyone who sees it, wants one

This is the second pedometer I've purchased. The first was a little cheapo that clipped onto the waist or shoe. It had a small digital readout. It was never accurate, and I eventually stopped trying to figure out to make it work properly.

For me, the main selling point for the Omron was the fact that it didn't have to be worn outside on the clothing. I wanted to carry it around all day to count my steps while I was at work, on lunch, commuting, etc. Well, I can say without hesitation that this one works just sitting in your pocket. And it's accurate. When calibrating it for my steps, I did my own little test. I walked about 200 steps and counted the steps to myself. When I pulled it out of my pocket, it had the same count I did. I was amazed that it was so perfect.

I now carry this in my jeans every day. A coworker picked one up and we do a lot of walking on our lunch hour. Others have seen us comparing our steps and calculating our miles -- now everyone wants one.

Good Pedometer

Good pedometer with lots of useful functions. It comes with a holder, which you can clip on your waist band or pocket, and a strap that can be attached to the top. It also fits well in your pocket if you have one. The only con, the holder comes off your waist band some times when you bend or rise from a sitting position. There is a cord that can be attached, but it needs to be longer incase you want to hang it around your neck. I end up clipping the cord to a button loop so the unit will not fall to the ground if the holder comes off.
