Pretty good headphones

I bought these for a recent trip across the Pacific and was happy I did. Not only did they perform as advertised (and expected), but they were pretty comfortable (I wore them nearly the entire 10.5 hour flight). I've also used them during my commute on BART and they now allow me to actually listen to podcasts during my commute - something my iPod ear buds never allowed me.

I've never listened to the Bose, but I can't imagine that they are that much better for the difference in costs.

These headphones are great. I'm just a casual music listener,so I don't know about some of the technical aspects others mention, but I really like the headphones.
I have a small head and they are very comfortable and keep the ambient noise out while letting the music in.

These headphones are the best I've ever had (and I own 5). The sound is great and the noise reduction is amazing for the price. Very comfortable and i use them every where i go. The best part is that the cord is retractable, Its great cause its not all dangleing out there.

This is an amazing product and for the price just as good as bose.

WAY better value than Bose.

I have used the Bose Quiet Comfort over the ear noise cancelling headset both when flying and when riding in a noisy auto/van. Then a friend loaned me his JVCHANC100 Noise cancelling headset. I was so impressed, I went and purchased the JVC HANC1000.

Do not get me wrong, the Bose is an excellent noise cancelling headset. But for the money, the JVC is ALMOST as good (I can BARELY distinguish a difference)but is only one-sixth the cost of the Bose.

The JVC HANC100 travels very well, the sound is great (admittedly, I am a "senior" tech user whose ears are not quite as sharp as they used to be), the cord winds up in the headset, and the battery life is great. When I swapped headsets with other Bose users during a flight, they were very impressed and were especially "wide-eyed" when I told them the cost.

Sure, I would like to have set of the Bose, but I like to purchase "value for the money". The JVCs are not QUITE as good as the Bose (barely distinguishable) at noise cancelleation and they do not have the name "cachet" of the Bose, but they are a GREAT VALUE FOR THE PERFORMANCE. I can find a lot of other things to spend the $250 on, and I will not feel as bad if I lose or damage them when travelling.
