Nice concept, dissapointing execution
When I first opened the package I was outraged at how it was made from cheap plastic and had already started to curl. I decided to make the best of it and started to use it with my Nikon 4500. It didn't stand up to regular use and started to break and fall apart. I glued it together twice and then taped it when it broke again. While it was together it worked very well. Batteries lasted forever and always

ed. I liked it so much I considered making reinforcements of aluminum but it really started to crumble so I gave it up. Thicker plastic or a better grade sure would have made this a 5 star product!

not rigid enough
This is one of those products that does exactly what it says it will but still manages to disapoint. With a tall heavy
flash
unit (mine is a canon 580ex) this bracket wobbles alarmingly
"A little confusing..."
I purchased this
adapter
to use in conjunction with an auto-slave
flash
for portablility. While the bracket is good for attaching a flash, it is not necessary to use the timing delay feature on the bracket when using the flash in the slave mode. I have yet to figure out how to use the bracket delay function when using my flash in the normal setting. Again, my intent was to purchase the bracket for portability when using the auto-slave flash, so with that in mind, I got what I paid for...

's Digital Camera Flash
Adapter
...I love it. Gone is the red-eye from my early-generation digital (Coolpix 950) but more importantly, here is the ability to light up a scene at a distnce greater than 7 feet from my camera. Couple of things to bear in mind:
1. your camera will no longer fit in your pocket;
2. you must supply your own flash to mount on the adaptor
3. you will be asked by the curious what happened to your camera;
4. your camera will suddenly feel heavier!
Its a clever flash mount which has led settings to compensate for pre-flash(es) and is powered by 4 AA batteries. Yes, it can be fooled by others' flashes firing...just tell them to stop :) I gave it one less star than max star since documentation is near absent and the materials should've been a tad stronger (I feel a bend between the camera and Canon flash I am using).
I like it, gives me a great grip and steadies my shot never mind the abundance of light it now shows my subjects. Practice time to figure out settings 25 shots. You can do it...better.
