It lifts stuff

I don't have previous experience with a handset lifter, but this one certainly lifts the handset. It works just fine, and I enjoy the feature which rings the headset when the phone rings. It was a bit tricky to get the device positioned correctly with the double sided tape provided, but everything's still working well after a few months.

HL10 Lifter is a blessing!

I have a wireless Plantroincs headset, and it was very frustrating always having to lift the receiver in order to make or answer a call. When I am away from my desk, I would still have to run back to lift the reeiver every time I had to answer a call. With the lifter, that is no longer a problem. I am on the phone for hours at a time, and it truly is a great advantage to be reviewing drawings and specs on a table, and be able to answer the phone when I am 40-50 feet away from it. I would never go back!

Does what it says it will do...

First of all, I must start out by saying that I am a little surprised that this little mechanical device is even necessary with all of the technological advances out there these days. The HL-10 is kind of a "throw back to the seventies" in terms of its jerry rigging function. Having said this... Plantronics builds quality stuff and I am sure that there is a good reason for it. The device does exactly what it is supposed to do once you adjust it for your individual phone. I was a little concern that it would fit my phone but they include plenty of adjustment options to take care of any setup. I am using it with a Plantronics CS351N headset - which I love for it professional wireless function. I tested the HL-10 by picking up/hanging up the headset 10 times in sucession and the lifter raised and lowered the receiver successfully each time. That was good enough for me. Definitely worth the $ if you own a wireless headset and you roam around the house/office while talking on the phone.

Necessary addition.

This item was also purchased by my assistant in conjunction with the Plantronics head set. This feature allows her to answer and disconnect calls w/o lifting her phone receiver. It is also nice for those with small workspaces that may not have the room to place the phone receiver aside while making/receiving calls. The down side, is that it's not very "universal". It does not fit our style of phone very well, and it also covers the phones speakers. Nonetheless, she loves the convenience of it!

Easy to Integrate and Works GREAT!

When you get the package you think, "This is it?" But the description of not taking any extra footprint space on your desk is correct. The entire process of setting it up, and integrating to my existing CS-50 took less that 10 minutes. Hardest part is determining position of lifter on your phone before using sticky tape which then connects to your phone. I have have NO problems with unit and use it every day from my home office.
