Great Product
Most people would save the $50 and go with an OEM. I basically tossed the fan that came with it in the corner and went with the ChillTec. I purchased the retail (Fan) vs oem (no fan) because of the warranty. With the retail (this product) you get the 3 year (36 months) warranty with the OEM product you don't. So for $50 more I will cover that base.
Make sure you get the G0 and not a model before it.
Intel
has announced they will be making another $250
Quad
core
product the 9300 so I have no idea which is better between those.
El mejor procesador que he visto
No hay nada mejor por este precio, ya que sin hacer over clocking es bastante rapida mucho mas de lo que se consigue en venezuela.

SO FAST I CANT EVER USE IT TO FULLEST POTENTIAL
i just built a new computer
quad
core
processor
2 gigs ram
GeForce 8600 GT video card
intel
board
great power supply
and my system is fast. i monitor the cores working and it has never crossed 60% of processing power when i played COD modern warfare. i still have to test it out for HD video editing (its main purpose) but everything on my computer loads super fast. i dont think my hard drive can keep up.
i would say that if u r an everage joe shmo than this thing is way over powered and you wont use most of the cores but than again in some time quad core will become the standard.
I paid $200 for this processor on sale at Micro center (great computer store)

Good reason for come back to Intel....
Incredible performance, it beat over 10k points in 3Dmark06, I have been AMD user for about 6 years, my last
Intel
was a Pentium III 550Mhz. LOL, but this
processor
model has a really intersting relation price/performance in comparision with AMD Phenom processors, I upgrade from a AMD X2 4400+ 939, and theres a huge difference in games like Crysis, Call of Duty 4, the new ones.
The
LGA
775
chip its a nice idea, processor without pins, nice and secure system, more realiable than the conventional processors wich have the small pins that could be broken.
