Logitech cam

Got this camera for my oldest son to attach to his laptop. The goal is that he can communicate home from Iraq when an internet connection is available or send us a movie clip. In tests, the camera works great. Picture quality is excellent. With some included software he was also able to modify the picture in many funny ways. I was so impressed with the quality, that I might get another to replace our older Logitech webcam. Amazon price was better than any retail store around...even when it was on sale.

Just want to add my two cents worth...

I've bought this about a month ago. Have been using it with my sweety since then - she's using the same exact webcam.

The web cams that I used to own waaay back when are lousy under low light and thus you can't see anything, but this one is great under low lighting with the 'right-light' technology. It also has a few special effects that you would enjoy. Only complaint would be that the stand that it came with (bonus in my books) - in order to use it, you need a longer USB cable that is integrated with the QuickCam Pro. It needs to be longer or at least allow you to extend the cable so that you can make use of the stand. Otherwise it is the perfect length if you're simpy going to clip onto your LCD.

awesome little camera

Very good image. Face following does very well and the fun avatars and such are a hoot. Impressed with that lack of stuttering and the clear image when usage for video chat as well. Microphone does very well at filtering out background noise.

Excellent

This product exceeds expectations. I origanlly purchased it to stay it touch with friends. The quality is better then the old Logitech camera I used. One point I would like to bring up is that you can use this with Dragon Naturally Speacking software. With less issues then most mics that are on the Dragon list. Buy it. You will not be disaapointed.
