Great Mouse for Laptops.

I bought this mouse for my wife's laptop. It works great on any surface. Very high precision as well. It is also very comfortable, Not too big and not too small. Occasionally we have had to redetect the driver for it on the laptop when booting back up from a shutdown running Windows Vista Home Premium for it to be detected again, but it has only happend 2 times.

Retired the Mighty Mouse

Finally got tired of dealing with the "sticky" scroll ball issues in the Apple mighty mouse and decided to replace it. The Logitech V470 has worked perfectly from the start. Insert batteries, turn it on and that's it. No installation problems with CD's, it's wireless, has bluetooth connectivity, what's not to like?

Great little mouse

This is a fantastic little mouse. After reading the reviews for Apple's mouse with the trackball and this one, I chose this one and am definitely happy. The battery life is fantastic (I have yet to replace them after over a month), the sensitivity is good, setup was really easy on my MacBook, feels great in my hand, solid clicking feel, nice & compact to take with you on the road, just a great mouse. My only caveat is that the side scrolling isn't all the sensitive - for me it doesn't matter since I'm working with office documents, but I can see if you were doing graphic design or something where moving in multiple directions was important how a trackball would be better.

Overall very happy

This mouse was instantly recognized by my MacBook. Didn't really need the drivers, but I installed anyway to get more configuration choices. Had to download from the Logitech website, since only the PC drivers came in the box. Tracking is very good. The only thing I would change is the lag time when the mouse goes to sleep. It can be annoying sometimes. When the mouse goes to sleep, you have to wake it by clicking a button and waiting about 1 second for it to reconnect. All that said, I've gotten used to it and like the mouse overall. Bluetooth rocks!
