Beautiful and poignant

The photos is this amazing book are just gorgeous. The end, with descriptions of all the dogs and their stories, is hard to take. Many of the dogs were adopted, but several had to be euthanized. I hope this book draws attention to America's tragic pet overpopulation problem. Bravo to the author for taking on such an important project.

This is an excellent book for any animal lover. The stories are so heartfelt and the photos are wonderful. The best purchase I made last year!

Heart warming

Everyone should see this book. The statistics alone should be stated in every newspaper in the country. In my opinion, cats and dogs are so pure and wonderful and innocent. They create so much love for all of us to enjoy if we only would take the time to slow down a bit.
I am so thankful for the person who took the pictures of these beautiful dogs that I otherwise would have never had the opportunity to admire.

Fabulous book!

This book came recommended and was brought to my attention by an animal welfare organization. I liked it so much, I've already bought 4 other copies and gave them to friends.

If you love dogs, and you're even looking at this item, it would be a shame not to get one.

HEARTWARMING!!!

What a super, super book with beautiful pictures! What a wonderful way to show people that shelter dogs are just as wonderful and beautiful as that puppy at the pet store. My smile was up over my ears when I saw that the majority of these dogs found loving homes, but my heart aches for those that didn't.
