Presenter works great
The
Targus
Presenter
does everything it is supposed to do. It's nice to be able to walk around as I make presentations.
Just works as advertised
Simple to use and just works! Very happy with the product. Remember to use the off switch to save on battery power.
Works great -- good price
I bought this item because I wanted something simple that would work reliably for PowerPoint presentations. I didn't expect to use it heavily, and I couldn't justify spending a lot. This has been everything I was looking for and I've been using it a lot more than I expected, including when my wife and I want to view our digital photos on our large screen TV -- it's nice to let the laptop sit in front of the set, rather than having a cord stretching across the room. It has worked reliably with every other PC I've plugged it into, including a couple running older operating systems, and there is zero setup involved -- just plug it in and use it. The controls provide all the basic functionality I need and I have had no problem with battery life. (The unit comes with a nice roomy bag for the two components, with a separate internal pouch in which I keep a spare battery should I need it -- hasn't happened yet.) The only deficiency, which all reviewers seem to agree on, is the ridiculously small and un-obvious on-off switch. However, after one understands the problem, this really isn't a problem anymore. The
laser
pointer
also works very well for screen-projected presentations (my main use) but purchasers should be aware that no laser pointer will work on a bright back-projected image, such as an LCD screen. Overall, I am delighted with this purchase and several of my friends who have seen it have also gotten one.

Great little presentation remote
I bought this presentation remote for occasional use with a laptop computer running Windows XP. The off/on button on the side of the remote is very small and I had to make a mental note to remember to turn it off. It takes only 1 AAA battery. It would be a good idea to have an extra battery for a back up in case I forget to turn it off. I have small hands and the remote itself was small and very easy to use as I went through my PowerPoint presentation. No one was paying attention to me fumbling around with the remote, as the remote was so easy to use. I did have one problem with the plug and play end. It didn't like one of my USB ports. I'll have to check that again, as this was my first time using the remote and I may not have waited long enough for it to detect the plug and play hardware/software.
