Excellent Buy!

I settled on the Samsung 206BW after a month of research. I finally decided on this for its looks, price and ideal middle-ground between a 19" and a 22". This is a real beauty and I am impressed by its performance. Luckily there are no problems I have faced like others have claimed(like noise at low brightness). The wide-screen is awesome - can have multiple chat sessions open while you are still surfing the web. Go for this!

Excellent display

Have been using this display for about a month. Haven't experienced the buzzing experienced by other reviewers. Height adjustment not a big issue. Excellent picture quality.

Buzzing/humming sound

The 206BW-20 is a beautiful monitor. I have read a number of reviews that mention a buzz/humming noise coming from the monitor, some say it happens only when default settings are changed. Well, today mine suddenly started to hum! When I looked in the back to see if I could hear where it came from I accidentally moved the power cord and lo and behold, the buzz stopped! When I moved it around it started and then stopped buzzing so I removed the cover and then felt that the cord was not completely tightened; I had been anxious to get it connected. So, if anybody else has this problem I strongly recommend doing what I did, make certain the power cord is tightly connected.

Don't really have problems with it

This was my first desktop LCD and I realized it's actually bigger than my bedroom rabbit-ears TV! HD-DVDs play fairly well for a screen this small, and web text is sharp enough as well. The only caveat really is that the way a lot of websites are formatted, sometimes over half the screen isn't utilized at all. That's not a knock against this monitor, rather poor web design. Horizontal off access viewing is adequate, although vertical has a very small range. The screen is a dust magnet, but so is every other LCD/TV/monitor ever created.
I paid around $250 after rebate at the time I bought this, and I've been happy with my choice. My CPU is an Intel Core 2 Extreme X6800 and my videocard is an eVga 8800 GTS (640MB). I use this with Windows XP MCE and Vista Home Premium.
