Good monitor, better are available for similar price

I picked this monitor because it seemed decent and I trust Samsung as a brand. However, within the weeks that followed I've noticed several stores selling LG monitors with much better response times (2ms) and better contrast resolutions (2000:1) for about the same price. Had I known, I would've waited and gotten one of those. I've never had a problem with an LG product either.

Tricky Good

I purchased the SynchMaster 920NM on 11/10/2007. Out of the box experience was good - CD, set instructions etc. Helpful hint connect the monitor cable prior to assembling the stand. It can be a bit tight trying to connect w/the base inplace.

Performance is good, however you need to make sure you leverage the auto set up feature and switch to the different preset modes to make the most of your new purchase.

The product is a great value for the price - with a few small tweaks, it will run similar those costing much more.
