Samsung 24 inch 245BW monitor

This is a wonderful monitor with stunning color and ease of operation.
For best performance, recommend upgrading your video graphics card if your system card is outdated.
At just over $400, it is also an outstanding buy.
Spoil yourself and get one.

It's the difference between acceptable and crystal-clear, to select clearType from the "Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts" in the "Effects" dialog of the "Display Properties" property-sheet( Windows XP ). For such an important setting to be so deeply nested into the UI - sigh... Four stars because it will not swivel into portrait mode, although my video card will do the rotation.

I bought the lcd monitor a couple of months ago. I am quite happy with... I love the extra screen real estate and it seems more than sharp enough for me. I am using it with an XFX video card.

I do have a serious beef with the rebate process. You are supposed to send off the form along with a copy of your Amazon invoice and the UPC code from the box to a PO Box in Arizona. A few weeks later I got a form letter back saying that they cannot process the rebate because they do not have my street address. I went back and looked at what I sent them and it certainly had both my PO Box and street address included (for crying out load, Amazon doesn't ship to PO boxes so the street address is on the invoice).

Basically this seems just a scam... They hope if they make it enough of a hassle that you'll give up in disgust and they'll be able to keep your $50.

I just had *exactly* the same experience with the XFX video card rebate... One was told to send it to a different PO Box (they use PO Boxes but customers cannot?) also in Arizona. I suspect both Samsung and XFX are using the same crooked rebate service company.
