Keyboard Kit a Hit

The Apple Keyboard Kit replaced my Apple wireless computer which kept eating batteries. Although this new kit has a wire to connect to the computer, it's size, and quietness, clean look and ease of use make having the wire a small distraction.

It's really updated the look of my older iMac as well. A real winner.

Best Keyboard Ever

This keyboard not only looks super nice with it's ultra thin, unique design, but it is also very easy and pleasing to use. There are spaces between the keys to help quick typist from preventing accidental typos. I chose this one over the wireless keyboard, cause if you think about it (for lots of us at least), the keyboard is often immobile on the desk, so it might become a headache replacing batteries, and also this model adds the number pad, which is a great help, and also a USB connection, so in the end you dod not loose a USB connection. This keyboard rocks!!

A keyboard with a great look and feel

The keyboard looks classy and feels great to type on - once you get used to it. I like the additional function keys, and that the rows of keys don't have deep grooves around them like most keyboards that collect dust and grime.

I have this keyboard hooked up to an IOGear KVM which toggles between my PowerMac G4 and Windows XP laptop. It works just as expected.

Outstanding Product

I am a killer of keyboards. AND, since I use them so much, I'm also sensitive to good and bad keyboards.

As is my wont, I read the 1 star reviews first. I have to say that I cannot fathom what these people are talking about. The short throw on the key is what makes this thing so responsive. If one's fingers hurt from using a keyboard, you're using a manual typewriter or you're doing something dramatically WRONG. The short throw and silent response suit me just wonderfully, and the keys are MUCH better spaced than on my MacBook, the old Powerbooks or the Duo series.

I'm now into my fourth week with this thing. I'd estimate that I spend at least four hours a day ACTUALLY typing on the keyboard, no hunt and peck, but full volume documentation type writing.

I find, so far, the keyboard to be outstanding, my error rate dropped the instant I started using it (and did my "technical language") and my typing rates increased significantly.

In my experience so far, I can only give this keyboard my highest recommendation.

Once I've had it under my hands for 3-6 months, I'll update this review with the experiences to that date.

Love the sleek, slim keyboard design

The new Apple keyboard is great. The slim aluminum styling looks awesome with the rest of my electronic gear and fits my design studio setup perfectly. My only qualm is that the USB ports on the sides seem a little awkward and jiggly, constantly poking into either my graphics tablet or my midi controller. I'm not sure what the reasoning was in putting the ports on the sides, but other than my one minor complaint, I am sufficiently pleased with the keyboard overall. It sure beats the boring white keyboard that it replaced!
