Works fine!

I owned the earlier version of this headset and I find this one lowers the decibel level better than before. Reception is fair...not great...but definately tolerable. I'm pleased with this purchase.

Not as good as it says

I had a older per befor this one There was nothing wrong with it, Just wonted to try the Digital one. The Reception is not the best it could be, Not clear.

Good for short money

When I am not on patrol, I live in a rural area but he has been amazed at how clear the stations are picked up and how good the sound quality is. Excellent hearing protection as well....he never hears the cellphone when i call to tell him it is time for dinner, but oh well....you cant have it all i suppose! This is a really great product I bought these headphones for my husband who is a farmer and therefore spends a lot of time out on the tractors. He had an older pair that he had misplaced so i bought him this pair. HE LOVES IT! Says it is much better than the older model because you can preset the radio stations you want to listen to rather than fumble around with a dial.

The main purpose of this product is hearing protection and it does that quite well. The radio is a mixed bag. If you're expecting fine sound quality you're going to be very disappointed. Attached to an mp3 player, the sound is significantly worse than a cheap set of ear bud headphones. The radio tuner is also quite cheap. Remember the radios that came on cheap cassette walkmans? Same technology here.

Comfortable hearing protection with tunes

The headphones are comfortable, reduce outside noise and allow you to enjoy up to 6 of your favorite radio stations. We use them while mowing lawns on our 66 inch cut mower. Makes the chore go faster while listening to the oldies. Easy to use controls while in use. They even fit under our straw hats - just cut a small hole in the brim for the antennae.
