Sounds better than expected

I purchased this to connect my Sony Walkman MP3 player (very good Mp3) to my factory head unit with CD/cassette. I have JL audio speakers with an Alpine amplifier and like to listen to music reasonably loud. I am considering a direct connection to my amplifier some time, but this cassette adapter sounds quite good.

A good one for those with limited choice

This one is much much better than the other cheap(er) options around. But with the unbeatable deal on amazon, why choose them anywayz ?
The sound quality it gives is better than average (I guess it depends on the stereo system) but gives a humming sound in background as you increase the volume. There are times when I notice that sound comes only from right side speakers of the car. I never tried to flip the side and try if it is taken care of (like mentioned in one of the reviews), but if this problem gets taken care of I will give this one 5 stars.

The player in my car has been a bit persnickity will cassettes that aren't in top shape, but it likes this adapter just fine.

play mp3's in your old car stereo

Are you like me and have loaded up an MP3 with lots of your favorite songs and just don't have room to lug around all those CD's in your car?
This is the answer if your stereo doesn't have an mp3 port but does have a cassette player - the slide in type only.
Sound quality is fine and we have so much fun using it to listen to my sons' mp3s too.
Can't beat the price either!
