Kidsize creative fun

I bought this for my 7 year old son. He figured out the controls without reading any documentation, so user the interface gets 5 stars. He was shooting pictures and videos of himself and of his younger sister in no time. It also comes with cute editing features, like super imposing a pig nose ontop of a person's nose and putting curtains on the side of the picture to frame it. The flash does white wash the picture a bit and the picture quality is not the greatest in low light situations. I would definitely recommend rechargeable batteries and a cheap SD card. I toyed with getting him a real (not kids) camera but couldn't find any for under [...]. I also didn't want to take the risk of him or his sister dropping it by accident. Overall, I am pleased with the product.

Way better than Fisher Price!

We tried both the Fisher Price and Vtech camera's before Christmas for our 3-year-old daughter. By far the Vtech was way more fun. Other reviews said the Vtech was more durable, so we purchased it for her for Christmas. She always wants to use our camera or phones for taking pics, but since she received her "own camera" she rarely asks. The only downfall is the fact that you have to hold the camera still for an extended period of time while taking pics. After about three days, she figured it out. A lot of fun frame and silly extras too! It has been dropped several times, but is still going strong. We haven't changed the batteries yet either. She gets a kick out of viewing her pics on the computer, just like Mommy and Daddy. I would definitely purchase this again!

Children's camera

I bought this camera from my four year old daughter as a Christmas present. She enjoys taking pictures and making little videos with her 8-year old brother. It's very easy for her to use and understand. The camera also features little games that she likes to play. The casing is very sturdy, so we don't have to worry about it falling out of her hands. The only down-side to this camera is the picture quality. As with all children's digital cameras, the quality really sucks. It especially stinks, knowing the great quality that is out there for regular cameras (sometimes even at the same price). All that being said, my children don't mind this as much as I do and all of the other features, like the fact that it is so easy for them to use, seem to out weigh this.

Definitely worth it!

After great research, I finally chose this camera for my 7 year old daughter, and we couldn't be happier. She loves the games she can play on the camera let alone the great features the camera offers once the photos are downloaded to the computer. She now takes pictures constantly. And her 2 year old brother did drop the camera with no apparent harm done! Great gift for a budding photographer!
