Problems with Envelopes & more
I'll start with the cons. I bought this solely for Envelope printing. I have only had it for 1 month and already I'm noticing that the print quality isn't great on some spots on the envelope. It's as if the toner was not properly applied to the envelope, so the printed text appears grainy, almost like the static on a TV. Also, this "grainy" text rubs off easily (probably because it was not applied properly). So, there could be some problems during transit of the envelopes that this
printer
prints on.
The next con is that, in MS Word, when I choose to print, the status monitor will say I need to press the "Cancel" button for Manual Feed. If I wait about 10 seconds, the printer will print the paper, without me even touching the Cancel button. Something strange is going on, and I even have the latest device drivers from
Samsung
!
Last con is, when I press the Cancel button to cancel a job, it doesn't cancel it. Also, I cannot cancel it using Samsung's status monitor, nor the Windows' "Printer and Faxes" utility. There's no way to cancel a job but to unplug the printer!
Now for the pros, it is indeed fast and it has a cover for the paper tray, so whatever you stick into the manual feeder has something to rest on, and your paper won't get dusty so your toner should stick to the paper better.

A great little laser printer
When I bought a new computer with Vista, I was shocked that my HP 1012 was no longer recognized. I went to the HP web site and it claimed the
printer
was supported. But, looking through the discussion forums, I learned that plenty of other people had the same problem as me.
Then I came across this printer. I checked
Samsung
's site, and there was a Vista driver. I was in business. The next day, I made the purchase.
Though the ML-
2510
cost me about the same as a toner cartridge, it outperforms my old HP. Its fast, holds more paper, is super easy to use. I'd recommend this printer to anyone looking for a BW
laser
for home or home office.

Wow... Cheap, small, ultra fast
I have owned a
Samsung
printer
before, which made me extremely reluctant to buy this
laser
. Anyhow, I purchased it anyways as my backup printer ($80). I have an online business, so I am pretty much constantly printing.
This printer hands-down beats my business class Dell All-In-One Laser ($500), Brother Laser ($250), Minolta Laser ($400); I have pretty much made it my default printer, for all my document jobs. Installed easily on WinXP.
It spools extremely fast, prints pages uber quick, and puts out really crisp text. The only cons that I have are that there isn't a manual/single feed slot and the output and feed trays are both a bit tacky.

I wanted to update this review with the current health of my printer. It is has been about 6 months since I have had this printer. During that time, I have gone through my starter cartridge and a replacement. Watch out, they cost around $70. But in all honesty, I don't mind considering how cheap this little guy is. Also, while installing the new cartridge, I discovered that my printer had a manual feed tray (though I am yet to use it).
I didn't fully realize how cool this buy was until I hooked it up to my Ubuntu Linux laptop. I was looking for the drivers online and read that the driver CD already had an installation file for Linux. Very nice, I was glad I didn't toss it. Just be sure to follow the steps as instructed in the installation CD. From what I read on the Ubuntu forums, this printer doesn't like 3rd party CUPS drivers.
One gripe after all this time is this... When spooling, the printer slightly dims my lights; although, I never had to mess with my breaker box because of it. A printer very much like this one that I can also recommend is the Brother HL-2040. It's a lot more quite, doesn't cause dimming of lights, but is a bit slower.
