It was great, excellent, superb what more can i say?

I loved this book more than another book that i loved to read. I hope to read more books like this. I once had a exprience close to like this books story, so when i read this book and i remembered about my exprience until i cryed the whole night thinking about Baby Alicia as though she was real. This book relly touched my heart. i would give this book a hundred stars. YOU SHOULD READ THIS BOOK TOO. Its fantastic, great, good, nice, wonderful, fun, sad, heart touching etc. etc.....

Heart breaking

I have read this book atleast 4 times. Everytime that I read this it makes me cry. I think what makes it the sadest is when Desi's mom comes to be with her at the hospital. I have been a loyal reader for atleast three years and I think that this is the one that made me cry the most.

Sad but truly honest book

My English teacher made me read this book. I first thought it was going to be very boring. How wrong I turned out to be. It has so much truth in it, and it's really sad, yet it deals with real life issues, especially that there are babies out there born with HIV, and it's not their fault, if you like tear-jerkers, then this book is for you.

Will a lonely girl's love for a critically ill baby endure?

A beautiful story of the "poor little rich girl", Desi, and how through her Aunt Clare, starts volunteering at ChildCare, where 5 abandoned babies live. But these are not ordinary babies. They all test HIV+. She grows to love Alicia, a tiny AIDS baby of 5 months, and Alicia returns that love. Desi becomes almost like a mother to Alicia and is shocked and devastated when she realizes that AIDS does kill. But the tragedy results in a better relationship between Desi and her mother and the easing of her mother's pain over the sad memories of Matthew, the SIDS baby of 16 years ago. It was so sad and so beautiful the same time. I never really understood AIDS until I read this book. Beautiful.
