Awesome Device

After my 2nd Gen Nano died, and they had switched the form factor, I thought I'd look for other options. I'm glad I did. The screen on this Sony is the same size as on the Nano - but it has so many more features, costs less, plays more formats and sounds tons better.

The radio sounds great. WinFF makes it easy to convert videos to mp4 and they look fabulous. Music sounds so much better than on my nano - even without tweaking the equalizer or surround sound settings. This is going to be a great way to keep entertained while flying, waiting in the car to pick up the kids, etc. The screen is very bright.

I'd say that navigation isn't quite as smooth as it is on an ipod. But I'll give that up to pay $30 less and gain all the features this walkman has that the ipod doesn't.

Mp3 Player What Is Good

I checked around before I bought a player to make sure I got a good one.

Boy, did I.

This player is perfect. The sound quality is great, and navigation of the buttons is simple to learn and well thought out. Every button is in the right place, and their functions make for easy and quick navigation of the all the Walkman's cool features.

Another plus is that you can search through your songs or albums by entering the first letter, or skipping through them at increments that are decided by how many songs/albums there are. That way, if you have, like, a hundred albums or whatever, you can quickly get there with ease.

Also, the quality of pictures and video is exceptional. Crystal clear.

If your looking around for a player, this is a very good buy. I would recommend this product to everyone.

Plus, it's red. How cool is that?

Great MP3 player

I searched for hours looking for an MP3 player for my 7 and 9 year olds. I finally bought a red one and a pink one for them and they love them. We've had no problems with them. They download their own music onto them. My 11 year old recently got an Ipod from his grandma, and after fooling with it for awhile, he gave it back and got a Sony. They really are great and easy to navigate for anyone. My baby just put it in a sink full of water last night and when I put it back on the computer to charge this morning, the computer recognized it and it is charging. It is a great product. They take it out with their Idogs and jump on the trampoline.

Great player

I listen to a lot of talk radio. I use the internet to download programs. This MP3 player make my listening static free and the internet supplies tons of free content. Playing time is huge and the batteries last forever. My only wish is that there was a fast forward in a program. It only allows you to advance to the next file.

Great iPod alternative

It's a wonderful unit, and it seems to beat the iPod easily on features, price, ease of use, etc. Not as many available accessories, but otherwise a good player, and very easy to use and transfer music and other stuff.
