Excellent Book

I was required to get this book for my computer science course and it was well worth the money. I have never had a text book like this before, but in the future I will seek out books written in the same style as this one. I ordered three more Head First books after getting through just three chapters of this one because I know that this is the series for me.

Just a side note, this book is written with java being the code of choice, but really is universal for all object oriented languages.

Highly recommended.

Very easy to read and understand

Design Patterns is a rather dry subject. This book however presents the concepts with very good real world examples in easy to understand terms.

New to Design Patterns? Just read this book!

This book amazes, starting from the way of presentation to the level of details.

I liked the concrete examples they are supplying, (ducks!) and how they relate the chapters together, the Fire chat! everything in this book is great,

The only limitation I found that the chapter related to the proxy pattern is quite complicated..

I liked the way they introduce the GOF book at the end of the book ..

Just buy it! and enjoy, doesn't matter if you are a java programmer or a C# or VB.NET you will get it easily

I am a VB.NET dev. and the Book depends on Java as a primary language, and I loved it

Excellent

The best book on design patterns I've ever read. Even though it's written with Java in mind, I was able to use it for my C# development. Head First Lab proovides all the code in C# through a free download on their website.
