I have watched this video twenty times and its always fresh. A truley great classic

Best American Tragedy Ever Filmed

Kirk Douglas and a haunting Jerry Goldsmith score, along with the best script Dalton Trumbo ever wrote, makes this film the most suspenseful and moving dramatic film ever made. Douglas gives a performance that should have easily won him an Oscar. The film was ahead of its time and would have probably been popular if it had come out in the later '60s when the theme of the individual vs. society was so admired.

A great tribute to the American Cowboy!

This movie brings a tear to my eyes and a lump in my throat. It's just that good! Kirk Douglas makes this character so believable that you just want to jump in the screen to rescue him. I can watch this movie over and over and never grow tired of it!
