False readings
Good product, easy to understand. However, I noticed that when the
pedometer
is in my
pocket
and riding in a van during my commute, I will get extra steps I didn't take (anywhere from 200-500 each way for a 40 min drive). Bummer!
Walkin' with my Omron
I've been walking for 30 or so minutes every morning since I got my
Omron
and I love that it tells me so many things about my walk. The only drawback - programming it was a little intimidating. My husband did it for me. The results of the walks - weight loss, tons more energy, better results on medical lab tests - all positive.

favorite toy
This is my favorite toy. I use it nearly everyday, trying to get my 10k steps in. I wish it measured all the hills I have to climb on my walks, but never mind. My only gripe is I do not think it measures distance accurately. When I drive my car to measure the distances, they invariably add up to more. I have repeated the experiment several times. But the number of steps is more important than the distance. Last night I found my dog had chewed up my
pedometer
so I'll be ordering another. Good price, good design, a real motivator if you compete with yourself, regardless of my doubts about mileage accuracy.

Reliable and easy to use
This is the third unit that I've bought; the first for myself, then one for my husband and finally the third one for our daughter.
It's easy to use, has lots of very helpful features and is reliable.
Unit is awesome, history has one flaw
I've been using this unit for a week and I love it. It doesn't record the extra steps my analog
pedometer
did. I can put it in my
pocket
vs my waistband so I don't have to worry about it shooting off into the toilet. The 7 day history feature is great but here's my one complaint, you can't see the aerobic minutes for past days. You can only see the steps because where the aerobic minutes would be is the day number. Counting aerobic minutes is a very nice feature. An unexpected bonus is that my bicycle strides record as steps. This is probably because I wear cycling shorts with a pocket on the thigh so there is up and down motion detected versus my waistband which doesn't move on a bike. Overall I'm delighted. It's probably 5 stars, but I just listened to the On The Media story on how we consumers inflate ratings: [...]
