Logitech delivers same high standards for mac...

I recently converted to Mac to avoid Vista hell and get rid of an extra Linux server I have sitting around for web development. While the Mac was great, even though infuriating at times feeling like you're 10 years old again learning how to use a computer, the basic keyboard and mouse delivered are horrible. I've always used Logitech for my Windows machines so found a version specifically made for Mac, ignored my nay saying friends that swore none of the drivers / configurable keys would work for Leopard, and purchased the S530.

Yes, it works perfectly. The drivers installed immediately, every specialty button and key on the mouse / keyboard are accessible and configurable, and it finally feels like I'm back to using a keyboard mouse combination designed for people that professionally use keyboards and mice for a living.

One thing, you MUST restart the computer to get the system preferences to lock onto your exact keyboard and mouse combination. The initial install knows it's a logitech brand, 2 button, etc but doesn't know exactly which keyboard and mouse for all the config options. Once you restart system prefs has the exact keyboard and mouse showing with every button on both ready for configuration.

wonderful keyboard and mouse

i was previously using a microsoft keyboard and mouse combo until it unexpectedly decided it didn't want to play nice anymore. I wasn't able to eject any cds. since i have a quicksilver mac this is a problem because i don't have an eject button on the actual computer. thats why i decided to buy this keyboard. it had the eject button on the keyboard. it works wonderfully. all the functions work vs my microsoft keyboard (which was for a mac as well).

And it's working ....

Had it for a month, and so far i love it. No problems at all on the MacBook Pro. The mouse is great. (had to download newer software to take advantage of the additional buttons, but it was a breeze).

Apple watch and learn.

I had been living with the standard Apple wire keyboard and Mighty Mouse for a year and half, but for the past months I have been typing a lot more than usual. I have always found the standard keyboard a little hard to type on and the Mighty Mouse is not all that mighty, for my taste anyway.

First I was sceptic about this combo I read a couple of mixed reviews, but I decided to go for it anyway. In preparation, while I was waiting for the package, I downloaded the latest driver form Logitech and installed it on my Intel iMac OS X 10.4. And, Yes, everything worked out of the box, GREAT.

If you type a lot, I don't really know about gaming, this is a MUST, if you want to relax while doing it. Nice and precise feeling while typing. Quick and easy typing. Not to mention that the flat keyboard is a very comfortable idea.

All the buttons along the side is a matter of taste too. They need a firm press to activate so you don't launch an application by accident. They are their if you want but aren't in the way if they aren't your fancy.

The Mouse is more or less a standard Logitech Mouse with a very nice fell to it. The small volume button are useless though, but they aren't in the way, so I don't count that against them.

Over All score 5 because that is what they deserve for a keyboard that makes typing painless and "mouse-ing" comfortable. Apple, watch and learn.
