Some Good, Some Not So Good

I am happy with the sound therapy machine, over all. But this one has some problems. I wish I'd bought the model that has no clock. The clock is pretty impossible to see unless it's facing right in your face, but then the light is shining in your eyes. If you need a nightlight, that's a good quality, but it's very bright. I keep my machine under the bed for that reason. But the thing I really don't like is the button arrangement. All the buttons are all right there and it's very easy to hit the wrong one. I've found the alarm, which I don't need, going off in the middle of the night, because I accidently bumped the wrong button, when trying to get the thing turned off in the morning or while cleaning, or when it's been packed in a suitcase. Then I have to get up, put glasses on, and fumble with the machine again to get it turned off, because the buttons are difficult to differentiate (especially in the dark, when you've just been awakened after sleeping an hour or two). If you don't need a nightlight and you don't need an extra clock, consider getting the machine without these features, so you don't have these frustrations. I personally think Conair ought to consider a different configuration for the buttons.

Very pleased with this purchase

This sound therapy clock is perfect for me and an excellent value! I am a light sleeper and have been falling asleep to the sound of running water for several nights now. One night I was going to not turn it on, and my husband said, "I want the running water!". Apparently he is sleeping more soundly as well and dreaming quite a bit more. The time readout is difficult to read unless you are at the right angle, but given that I can't see anything without my glasses, it is not a problem for me. Even the radio has a pretty good sound to it. Overall, I am very pleased and look forward to falling asleep to the sounds of running water each night.
