Best Mouse.. ive owned
I love this
mouse
because you can:
Change the weight
Changed the LSD color
Changed the Cover to wide or small
I got one for my labtop.. well it came with it but when u have a labtop you love to move around (no sitting in one spot) while playing a game or just searching the internet soo.. of course i tried the mouse on my bed it it works perfect on the bed.. no mouse pad just the sheet and the bed thats why i fall in love with it i even played in the car on the seat.. besides the bumps it was great :P
Excellent functionality but HORRIBLE ERGONOMICS
I'm always on the hunt for the 'best'
mouse
and mousing surface. I've had numerous mice from Microsoft and
Logitech
and generally speaking find the Logitech products superior. Functionality wise the G9 is excellent. Plenty of buttons, customization, and precision. However, it has to be THE MOST uncomfortable mouse I've used. The shells are small and lack any type of palm support as found with most of Logitech's other mice such as the MX400
Laser
I've grown to love. The shells are angular and without comfortable curves. The side buttons are small, cramped, and placed too far towards the back of the mouse to be easily used without further forcing your hand down and off the mouse.
Honestly I hate it. It's giving me serious hand cramps and fatigue. I have to hold my hand in the air and back off the mouse to position the buttons into usable positions. It's just downright horrible regarding ergonimics. Going back to Amazon for a refund.

Great mouse
I bought this
mouse
to replace my broken Razer Copperhead. I decided to try out
logitech
instead of Razer again. It's a great mouse and pretty comfy.
I use it almost primarily for gaming so the thumb buttons are awsome especially since you can assign macros to them. DPI switching works great and is really useful. I do miss the on the fly sensitivity switching of the Razer's that the G9 does not have. It's pretty heavy so it may take a while getting used to. It's smaller than my Copperhead but I always use my mice with my finger tips due to my large hands but for other people, ergonomics may take some time to get used to. Buttons are responsive and the click to click wheel has good feedback.
Love the extras like frictionless scroll wheel, swappable grips and color changeable leds. On board memory lets you store 5 profiles on the mouse - very useful for using on different couputers. I find the weight cartridges unnecessary as the mouse is pretty heavy already. Tilt wheel and hyperfast scrolling are great for surfing the web.
Overall great mouse; highly recommended.

best gaming mouse
very pleased with its accuracy. the only con is it takes too much CPU resource. I've tried on 4 PCs (w/ winXP), it takes about 11~22%, doesn't help much even if you lower the sampling rate to 125/s. well, I thought that's what it takes for accuracy.
The Best mouse ever Built
I have used this
Mouse
with macbook. It works absolutely perfect. Although you cannot use all the functionlities but still great precision and comfort. Best buy.
