Smaller then my last phone.
I recently purchased this
phone
as an upgrade to my
Sony
Ericsson
s710a and have found a few things I wish the phone had or were different. My main reason to purchase the phone was for the walkman feature so I could ditch the MP3 player and the smaller size and weight.
First off, there is no zoom for taking pictures, the zoom feature only works while taking videos. As stated earlier, there is no flash or light as well. The quality of the pictures are on par with my previous camera, the video is also typical.
Second, the darn little "connect" button is a bit too easy to press accidentally and you may incur charges if you do not have a data plan on the phone and the only option would be to take off internet access completely from the phone, but you would sacrifice the ability to jump on the internet at all.
As stated earlier reviews, the battery door is extremely hard to remove and requires quite a bit of effort. I wouldn't have put this point on, but I was trying to attach a strap that kept coming off, probably due to user error, which meant that I opened and closed that door far more than the average user may.
The build quality is great and I have had no problems with the phone thus far and find the phone to be quite durable as well. I have dropped it several times without damaging the screen or functionality of the phone. I also have not had any problems with the "locked" feature of the phone unlocking and mystery dialing anyone. Obviously if you push the buttons on the front of the phone it is possible to unlock the phone and dial out but this has never happened to me.
I keep the phone in a case attached to my belt or in my front pocket and have not had had any problems with the screen breaking.
Lastly, if you are upgrading from a previous phone, swap sim cards and you are done. Great phone!

Pre-review
I ordered this
phone
last week and so far i have a pretty positive opinion about this phone. It is a great deal as i upgraded my at&t account. you cant beat paying a cent for a phone. i love the fact that it includes an FM radio because not many phones have this and i know id use it plenty.
i also ordered the 4 gig memory stick which was only 50 bucks!!! thats a great deal. the only concern i have is the battery life and the durability of the keys. im not a rough guy so it shouldnt be a problem. i give it a 4 out of 5 based on my pre-impression and will see if it makes a 5 when i receive the phone.

careful with the back cover
As with most other reviews,
phone
is fine, compact so the text keys are not as easy to use as a krazer but i knew this when i ordered.
On the first day setting up the phone the back top cover came off.On/off button went flying. To their credit, Amazon shipped a replacement immediatly even before i shipped back the defective phone.
The cover issue could really be a problem if you are used to switching out sims overseas.
Im hoping att international service works well.
