Worked great right out of the box.

We replaced our Canon S900, which never made good photos, and finally stopped functioning (possibly due to using non-Canon ink cartridges?) with the Canon PIXMA iP4500. Our original concern with going w/ another Canon printer was quickly replaced with our happines w/ the high quality of the photos it makes, even on sub-standard paper. It's big, but w/ two paper feeds, we don't have to constantly switch back and forth between photo and print paper. When it's closed up, the design prevents dust from entering the unit much better than the S900. Strangely, it didn't come with a UBS cord to connect it w/ our laptop, but we used the old one from the S900. I'd highly recommend the printer - I gave it only 4 out of 5 stars because of the high cost of Canon ink cartridges.

Installing the software was very tricky, but other than that everything has worked fine. No paper jams or errors so far.

what's to review? Canon printers, so far, are the very best I have ever used. And I have used several from HP, Epson and Lexmark. As far as I am concerned there are none that equal the quality and cost of the Canon printers for home use.

The ONLY problem I've found is that I constantly misspell the word Canon as "Cannon"!

i was looking for a printer that would print duplexing. this one certanly did and much more. excelent print quality and fast. price more than fair. glad i did buy it.

Canon Pixma iP4500 Photo Inkjet Printer

This printer turned out to be more than I expected. So far it's the best printer I've ever had for printing and photos. The last two have been Epsons [880 and R200]. The Canon out does both with speed. I would recommend it to anyone
