Excellent PDA
I got this as a replacement to an old Toshiba E330. The E330 was also a very good pda in its day but was outdated and beginning to fail. The new
IPAQ
111
is much better in that it has more memory, has persistant memory (in case battery is drained), has a brighter screen and is more energy efficient. It comes with notes, contacts, calendar, word processer and spreadsheet functions. I won't detail all of its capabilities, many of which I don't use but it serves my purposes and is fairly easy to use. (The paper owners manual offers very little 'how to' info but it does have a digital help file). It also doesn't come with back up capabilities and other little extras that I received my old pda. Such as ebooks and MS reader et.al. It comes with ActiveSync but you also won't be able to sync with desk top apps unless you have MS Outlook and/or Office. It uses Windows Mobile 6
classic
OS which means that it doesn't include a phone.

Glad I purchased this!
I haven't had this
iPAQ
too long so I haven't even begun to expolore all of it's possibilities but this is a great
handheld
. I have had iPAQs in the past and they have all performed well. I like the way this is so light but much more powerful than my previous version (h5455).
love it
I love this pda, have been through palm pdas and a blackberry and this one was easy to use right out of the box. Has yet to give me any problems like needing to do a hard reset or freezing up on me. Haven't lost any data and syncs easily with my laptop. Would get this unit over a palm any day.

Great graphics, WM6 memory hog
This is a very sleek little device. Closer in form to the
iPAQ
4150 than the beefy hx2495. The graphics were stunning. Very bright, crisp display for only QVGA. It handled every video format I threw at it with ease. Wireless g is very quick. Battery life was decent-extended battery is available from 3rd parties. More RAM would have been nice for WM6- it's a hog. Get an extra sync cable and use the one it comes with for charging away from the computer--activesync 4.5 is very annoying. Tried the dummy server fix which worked on WM5 to keep it from continuously sync-ing to no avail. Alas, mine had a loose mini usb connector which caused all sorts of wonderful things to happen and had to send it back. One last thing-- I read alot of reviews that said the back of it is smudgy--it is in fact very smudgy. Haven't gotten another yet--back to the old 4150.
