Wow, this thing actually works!

I wasn't sure how well this thing would work, but I decided to trust the rating it was getting and try it. We got hit by a big batch of fleas all of the sudden, so I had to order medicine for the animals and I thought I'd try one of these to cut down the fleas in the area they're bugging me (no pun intended) the most.

It took me a minute to figure out how to install the light socket. The ring is already screwed onto it, so unscrew it first, put the socket through the top, then screw the locking ring back on. Unless the place you're going to put it is near an electrical socket, I'd recommend getting an extension cord for placement. Just put one of the glue discs in, plug it in, and walk away.

It's got a bunch of fleas stuck on the disc already after a day. I have a feeling it's mainly the big fleas, I think the smaller baby fleas are still hoping around the trap. All in all, it's capturing a bunch of fleas, so it was worth the money.

Simple, yet effective

Not much to the design of this product...a light bulb, plastic frame and a piece of sticky paper. Don't let that fool you though...it works great! I set up one of these babies last night in my carpeted hallway and this morning there were about 10 nasty little fleas in the trap unable to torment anyone ever again! Do I feel sorry for the little buggers? NO WAY! It takes no time to set one of these traps up and changing out the flea paper is a total breeze. Like other reviewers said, you should use this trap in conjunction with other flea control methods. I bought diatomaceous earth (look it up on Google...it's amazing!), carpet powder and foggers so I should be good to go real quick!

Worked for me

I have two of these. I put one at each end of the house. They catch fleas, flies, spiders and lots of other bugs. No, they're not perfect and they won't catch every flea, but they're cheap and they help a LOT. Plus they are pet safe, can be on 24/7 and have no odor.

I like the fact that the sticky part is enclosed so the dogs can not eat it. it catches fleas.

Very effective but not Invisible

Received the product within the time promised. The only assembly required is to place the adhesive disk on the bottom of the trap. This is a plug-in device that must stay plugged in. It uses a light bulb (the type one might find on a string of Christmas tree lights) to attract the fleas to the adhesive disk. This means that whatever area you are placing the trap in will be partially illuminated at night. We have gotten used to the one in our bedroom, but it took a couple of weeks. The units work well, but basic rules of flea management still apply (fogging, vacuum cleaning, pet and yard treatment, and a hand-held can of flea spray for spot treatment). It is good to see that the few fleas that break through our other control methods are captured by these devices. Overall, a good product.
