Best ever
I've used my original
Microsoft
Natural
Keyboard
for 11 years. It still worked fine, although some letters were starting to wear out a bit. It did look old though.
I eventually decided to get a new keyboard, and being
ergo
nomic was a major factor. I can use a regular keyboard, but it feels too crowded. I also have one of the rounded MS keyboards, but while better than a regular keyboard, it's still not as good.
So eventually I decided to buy this one. I certainly didn't regret - the layout is very similar to my old keyboard, it has a ton of extra keys, it feels great (although some might not like the soft touch, I really do) and it's even smaller than the old one. The new wrist rest feels much better than the previous plastic one. It looks great, too!
It's not perfect, though. The keys are a bit smaller, which is enough to thrown me out a bit when typing. The Ctrl key is a lot smaller, so it's hard to use the side of your hand to press it when typing a shortcut. I find the extra text on the keys for shortcuts and F-commands very irritating, although it's a matter of personal taste.
The whole numeric key block and other extra keys are a bit more crowded, which bothers me a bit, but it's probably a better design - I just need to get used to it.
The space key is a lot noisier than the rest - this seems to bother some people, but as it is a lot quieter than the version in my old keyboard, I don't mind.
Overall, I think it's a great buy, specially for the price.

Love this keyboard...
I've been using a MS
natural
ergo
keyboard
for years now. I started out with the older model which was nice because it had a din pin to usb converter plug so my laptop would work well with it. That one eventually went on me and I got another that was their Multi-Media version however that version wasn't USB compatible so I stopped using it when I upgraded my laptop. It didn't have a din connector for the keyboard and I didn't want a doc station at home. I now have two of these, one for work and one for home and they work great. Paired with a MS Trackball and all is good.

great
My husband was helping someone at work who had this
keyboard
and came home raving about how nice it was and how soft the keys were. So I bought him one and he loves it.

Excellent Product
I was just beginning to have wrist pain for the first time typing at home. I decided to be proactive and found that the
Microsoft
keyboard
was highly recommend by programmers online. The keyboard is extremely comfortable. Please note that I don't use all the special keys, so I can't speak to that. It was also autodetected fine on Ubuntu.
good keyboard for the price
We have been using the MS
Natural
Ergo
Keyboard
4000
for about a month now. We like the ergonomic layout and the keyboard zoom (wish the zoom worked for windows other than browser windows)! The spacebar requires extra force, which is annoying.
