Fast, painless, AMAZING!

This epilator is outstanding! I've used an Epilady in the past, and while I liked the results, it took forever, the hair had to be fairly long, and it was a little uncomfortable on legs and excruciating on underarms. This solves all those problems! It works so quickly. Take slow, even strokes along your leg and in 3 passes (tops!) all the hair is gone. It grabs even the shortest stubble - if you can see it, it can grab it! And I found it completely pain free on my legs. Maybe some people have more sensitive skin, or really thick roots and that's why they complain, but I literally felt no pain whatsoever. The underarms is a different story. Don't be fooled, it does hurt but there are some tricks! First, it takes a bit of flexibility but you need to make sure the skin is tight. Whether you can manage to use both hands (a bit tricky) or hold the skin so it's tight by using the heel of your hand, and move it only with your fingers, keeping the skin tight makes the hair come out much easier. (Same goes for your legs, hold the skin tight with your other hand and the hairs come out even faster and easier.) If the skin is very loose it can get grabbed by the tweezers and scratch the skin. Also, the first time on the underarms is the worst by far. If you can do it once, follow up as soon as you see some hairs. The hairs won't all grow back at the same rate so if you do it when there's only a little it hurts much less. After only a couple of times I can do my underarms in a few seconds each and it barely stings.
In general, it takes about the same amount of time as shaving (maybe a little more) but the results last for weeks! My only regret is that I waited so long to buy this!

**Fantastic**

I have to say, after being a slave to shaving and waxing - this is fabulous! No, you won't get EVERY single hair off, but you know what - it's pretty doggone smooth. Initially it'll be a little uncomfortable but I use it every 2 days and have welcomed the little 'stings' as it means that the hair is being plucked. Make sure you take your time (do it while watching tv) and go slow so it's more effective.

No more waxing or shaving for me!!!! Worth every dime!!

I'll add to the chorus of praise for this product. It's just fantastic, a great solution to an age old problem. To be fair, it did hurt -- and more than a little -- the first time I used it. However, now I can just pick up a few strays every few days and it hurts pretty much not at all. And the hair does grow back finer, yahoo! This is probably my product of the year. It's that good.

Yes, it hurts but "no pain, no gain" right?

I got my epilator yesterday and used it for the first time this morning. I'm not going to lie to you...it hurt! The first few passes on my legs had me holding my breath and breaking out in a sweat. But as the remaining hairs became more sparse, the discomfort reached a much more manageable level. I truly believe that future uses will prove less painful or even painless, especially if the product is used regularly to pluck out hairs as they come in. I even got up the nerve to do my underarms and bikini area! All areas are a bit red right now (I just finished) but not a whole lot worse in the bikini area than after I shave, so I am positive it will clear up shortly. The best part...my legs are wonderfully smooth and should stay that way for a lot longer than if I had shaved them. It makes a little pain worth it in my book!

As for those who think that this epilator is simply breaking off the hairs, I know for a fact that this is not the case. The hairs I found on the ground and in the machine were at least twice as long as the growth on my legs, indicating without a doubt that they were pulled by the root.

So after my very first use (and a fair amount of pain) I am still going to recommend this product! I look forward to being "shave free" and yet smooth and glorious all summer long.
