Fast!
I don't have another
memory
card
to compare this to in my camera, but when teamed with my Canon SD1000 the camera starts up and takes pictures faster than any other digital I've used. If I were in the market for another memory card, I'd get this one in a heartbeat.
Fast and cheap.
Fast and cheap. No more need for extra
card
s. this one holds more pics than most people shoot in a week-long vacation.
20 MB/Sec write, read speed... wow!
Simply, top of the line.
Some reviewers here got misunderstanding when compare this product to others as they say "It looks similar to Ultra II or Class 6". To feel the difference u have to test it in DSLR or camcorder (both with demanding circumstances) not in compact cameras. Ultra II give u 10MB/Sec write speed and u dont need more than that for compacts even for burst shooting, u reach the maximum performance with Ultra II in most compact cameras. So it is not surprising that u will not feel difference! u may feel difference while transferring files. 20MB/Sec write/read speed is something surprising. Remember, u may not need all this speed for your compact camera.

Fast card, but expensive
I can't compare this to an Ultra II, because I don't have one, but I can compare to the A-Data 150x Turbo
card
s I have. This
Extreme
III
is much faster, doing a quick write and read test I achieve the following results with a Promaster Digital (code 6398) card reader.
Extreme III:
Write: 7.88 MB/s
Read: 11.82 MB/s
A-Data:
Write: 4.46 MB/s
Read: 11.82 MB/s
Doing a quick camera write test in my Pentax K10D, the Extreme III wrote 28 RAW images + 28 JPG images (RAW+) in 20 seconds, and with the A-Data card it wrote 20 RAW images + 20 JPG images. These were at 500th with the lens cap on to insure consistent results. This is a significant difference, but you do pay more than twice as much for about a 40% write speed increase. Decision should be based on your budget and what you will use the card for. The 4 star rating is due to the cost.

2 gb card
I have two digital Canon cameras; a 3SIS and a SD1000. I use the same
card
in both. I'm not a professional, but the cards don't cost that much and I do not want to lose any photos that I take. The card is fast and it will hold over 600 photos at the highest camera settings. I have two cards and have given three as gifts: no failures so far, and these five chips have been all around the world.
