Very good, but one small problem not yet solved

I bought my Treo 750v a couple of days ago. I got really impressed with its features and had none of the problems already reported, like short time lived batery.
The only problem I am facing is with setting my voice mail.
The icon shown in the today page does not accept any number I will to attach to it. As a result, I was forced to create a new speed dial icon with my voice mail number.
I really hope this is a problem to be fixed soon by Palm with a downloadable file because, except for this problem, Treo 750 is really great.

Treo 750, one of the best and coolest phone. I am in love with this phone. Because of Windows OS, it is very easy to use and understand functions. Slim and light weight. Love the touch screen function.

I ordered this phone on Sunday evening and got it on Wednesday, Amazon offers two day free shipping on all phones.

Also I ordered two phones (Family plan), there was some problem in other phone, I requested the replacement and Amazon FIRST sent me the replacement of that phone through FREE 1 day shipping and they gave me 30 days to return problem phone. I am so impressed with Amazon's service.

Great phone and great price buying it with Amazon

I work for an University and my contract was due 2 months ago. I decided to get this phone because my PDA was already old and I needed something that would be efficient. I got this smartphone almost 2 months ago and I just have good things to say about it. First, it is not as heavy as the last model (650) and also looks really cool. Second, the interface is pretty easy to use and figure it out. The phone is Microsoft OS based (I used a palm device before) so getting use to it took me a couple of days but not really a big issue. The battery works really well and, in spite of other reviews, the life have been pretty great, even when compared with my last phone (a motorola).

In general, I thinks is a pretty good buy and you cannot beat the price when Cingular sells it for way more money than Amazon. I'll definetively will buy from this website again.

Hardware- Great, Windows Mobile OS- Disappointing

I have changed my opinion about this phone. I recently spilled apple juice all over it and had to do an emergency surgery on it. I opened it up and was surprised by the quality and build of this phone. I managed to disassemble the phone leaving me with 10 or 12 pieces and a pile of screws. I let it dry and cleaned it a bit and then reassembled it. I was a little surprised when it seemed to work fine when i turned it on. After a couple of days I decided to open it up again to free up a few pesky keys that would repeat or stick. My confidence proved fatal and was left with a pile of junk. My bad.
The next day hurried off to the ATT store with an excuse to finally get the IPhone. I returned that phone and the Samsung Blackjack 2 and the ATT Tilt before finally purchasing the Treo 750 again. I am intending on writing reviews for those 3 phones shortly. But in my opinion the 750 is the only phone that met all of my requirements. Plus Palm finally released the Windows Mobile 6 upgrade which I installed last night. BTW it took me 4 hours to upgrade my phone. not sure if it was because I run Windows on my Mac or because I am stupid or more likely because it was actually difficult. Anyway I love the 750 now and am changing my rating to 5 stars.

The craftsmanship of the phone is very top notch. I like the way it feels in my hands. It feels very solid. I would like to have an option for a little strap at least. It ship with no option for securing it to anything.The screen is bright and large and does not seem to scratch easy.

I find that the Windows Mobile OS is overly simple to use. This is very nice when setting up and using the internet and email but frustrating for all of the other programs and phone settings. Additionally I have problems with the phone opening unwanted windows for settings and apps that I did not intentionally open. Not sure if my phone is buggy or if the interface is just set up to open clock settings and appointment windows on its own. The text messaging interface works fine though as does the email.

update(10/16/2007):
just an update here. i wish i could show a photo of how trashed the phone is now. i have dropped it numerous times and had it in jean pocket while doing serious hard physical work. i think i have been trying to kill it so i could get a different phone WITH A NEW OS! WINDOWS MOBILE IS AWEFUL AND INCOMPLETE! IT MAKES ME WANT TO KILL MYSELF!
