Great product from a great manufacturer
Kingston
is a solid name in memory products and this is the second Data Traveler that I have bought from Amazon. What I like abut these
flash
drive
s the most is that they are ready to go with the full storage space available. They aren't pre-partitioned with software already loaded on them like some manufacturers, which suits my needs. It is a compact design which is good, and for a 4 Gb drive for under $20, the price is right too. One other good thing about the Kingston DT series is that they are color coded by size, so if you keep different types of files on different sizes of drives, they are easily identifiable.
With
USB
3.0 on the Horizon, I am hesitant to buy a flash drive larger than 4Gb, because I think that with 10 times the speed of USB 2.0, I will wait for a larger size 3.0 flash drive.

Kingston Rocks!
This is a great little
flash
drive
. I used it to move tons of folders from a PC to a Mac. However, after about 5 transfers it suddenly said it was "full." huh? I went to the
Kingston
site, emailed my problem, and a customer service guy wrote back the next day. Apparently, if you take the files off the flash drive with the Mac you HAVE TO empty the trash too. Being new to Macs, I did not know this! Anyway, the guy also gave me a quick fix and VOILA! It works perfectly. So, not only am I happy with the drive but very happy with Kingston's service.
A Great No-frills Thumb Drive
You can't beat this
drive
for the money. It's fast and has been very reliable through several months of heavy use. It's rugged enough to survive in a pocket with keys and change. Performance has been flawless and fast as far as I'm concerned.
The cap is a seperate piece that just snaps on. It's like a pen cap except that it doesn't fit on the other end for storage. If you're a person who loses things you might consider something with a retractable plug or built in cover. That would be hard to find at this price.

Exactly what I wanted
Was tired of backing up my mp3's and pictures on cd's so I decided to bite the bullet and buy a portable
flash
drive
. After doing some research, I decided on the
Kingston
4 GB
USB
Flash Drive.
Been using it over 2 months now and I love it. All you do is plug it into a USB port and it shows up as new hardware (I am running XP SP3 and did not have to install anything to accommodate the drive). It's extremely small, about the size of my pinky, and has worked flawlessly thus far. For $20, this is definitely a 5 star product.
Okay, but case is poorly made
Works great if you dont want it on a keyring - Keyring is poorly made and the 2 I bought broke within the first 2 weeks. So now I keep it in my computer bag and went and bought 2 new ones.
