highly recommended

Close...but not close enough

I ordered this razor from Amazon based on a lot of research and reading highly rated reviews. I've never spent this much on an electric razor. I wanted very badly to be perfectly happy with it. It looks awesome, is well-balanced in the hand, quieter than my old razor and the battery life is ridiculously long. I shaved 4 times (no just 2 minute shaves either) and only one bar out of 6 is gone from the battery meter (leading me to believe it may last as much as a month on one charge). Add the cleaning base to keep it fresh and what more could you ask for?
But, I found myself doing a lot of "re-shaving" (following all shaving suggestions in the manual) and even with that...I was still able to go back with my old razor (Remington 2810, Microscreen Intercept w/ 3 year-old cutters and screens) and cut some spots left behind by the Pulsonic. Don't get me wrong, the Pulsonic's shave looked fine, but I go by feel. If I still feel rough spots, I shave them again. Unfortunately, I'll be going back to the old razor.

Great Product

I bought this product a couple of months ago, and it is definitely a really great product. This was my first electrical razor and I have always heard that electricals do not shave as close as a blade. When I first used it, I was really impressed by how close it shaved; it wasn't as close as a blade, but pretty darn close and I was happy with it. However, now after a couple of months of allowing my face to get use to it and trying different techniques, I now think that it does shave as close as a blade (I do use Lectric pre-shaving liquid tho) and understand why people say that I have to give my face time to get use to it. In regards to irritation, it does irritate my neck area a little bit, but not as much as a blade. Also, one other thing that I love is the cleaning base. It keeps the shaver fresh for day to day use. The trimmer is pretty good too. Overall, I am very impressed and recommend it to anyone who wants a quality electric shaver.

Great System

I like the self-cleaning & charging although I do pop off the head and tap out the loose stuff before I run it through the auto cleaner. It gives a good shave and holds a charge well when I take it out of town for a couple of days w/o the charger. It works really great on all my camping trips since it never leaves my truck (Who shaves on a camping trip?) but it does keeps my wife's hope up...

Best Shaver Ever Owned
