Adequate, for the price
I don't know if it is my face or what, but I have never had much luck with an electric
shaver
. I started shaving with a
Braun
foil shaver about 10 years ago. It left random long hairs, so I switched to a Mach 3 razor. A few years later I tried a Norelco rotary, which would work in a pinch, but for only about two days in a row before I would need to cleanup the scraps the a razor. And even then it was not as close as I would like.
After getting sick of shaving with a razor every day, but not wanting to spend $250 on something that might not work better then the shaver I already had, I decided to buy the
1775
, which had good reviews.
It took over three weeks for my face to adjust to this shaver, but once it did, I was fairly happy with the results. It still leaves long hairs on my neck, but it shaves everything else quite close. I still have to clean up my neck with a razor every three days or so, but just a little bit, so its quick and I don't even both lathering up.
Overall, this is a good shaver for the price. However, for me at least, it is not sufficient to replace a razor completely. I would be happy with any shaver that allows me to need a razor once a week or less. I will probably end up trying one of Braun's top of the line models, but until then, I am content with this budget model.

Great little shaver for a great price!
My shaving needs are very modest as I have a beard and so only needed something for my neck and upper cheek area. This
shaver
fits the bill perfectly. The mobile head is really nice, no nicks or cuts or sore skin. I often go for days without shaving and have found the flip-out trimmer perfect for cutting down the growth to a length the shaver can handle. Very good price too. No more razors for me.
Better than my $130.00 Norelco
My Norelco could be used in the shower, put shaving cream on my face with a touch of a button and cost a lot. It also took twice as long to shave than with a blade. New heads cost $40.00 and had to be replaced a least yearly. The shaving cream cost a lot. The battery ran down after about four uses and the heads had to be completely taken apart to do a decent cleaning after about four uses. It did shave quite close and was comfortable after using it for about a week. My new $25.00
Braun
is easy to clean, easier to handle, extremely comfortable to use and has a very long run time before recharge. It can as others
men
tioned be used while charging. It shaves as close as a blade (much closer than the Norelco) and though a bit noisy with the trimmer extended, who cares. Thanks Braun for an affordable razor that is amazing. (Just like thier great coffee makers).

Great Little Razor
Received this razor about a month ago, it does everything the add said it would do, only better.
Braun shaver ok
It is a very nice
shaver
. I have a
Braun
with square heads on it that I got at WalMart, and it just can't handle my beard.
For some reason, the curved head Brauns have always worked better for me than the Phillips or Remington types.
But I have a very heavy beard, and maybe that's the difference.
I love the thing -- and it goes for at least a week on a charge!!
