Very Pretty and Feminine... but will it last?

I just wanted to make a note about the cover of this Bible. I LOVE the way it looks! Very stylish! The blue/brown two-toned cover is great to look at, but I'm wondering if it will wear very well. The blue floral portion of the cover is a 'cloth-like' material. Being a mother of boys, I can just imagine what it might look like in a year or two. But then again, at that point, I can always get a Bible cover for it. I don't want to do it now though, because I just love to look at it. It's so pretty!

Now, I know most of you are probably not buying this for the looks alone -- So.... as for the content: I really like the layout of this Bible. I've found that this translation is very easy to read. I love the profiles of prominent women of the Bible throughout the chapters. The devotionals are also very relevant to women of all ages. I've enjoyed the section on 'reading through the Bible in one year' that is included.

Also a note -- the text in this Bible is printed in blue. I've found that it's not distracting at all, and actually is kind of pleasant to look at.

Overall -- I think this is a great version. If you are worried about the cover, you can also get this Bible in brown leather. It's not near as cute, but it will last longer, I'm sure.

This is a nice Bible. It is the New Living Translation, Second Edition. Very easy to understand. I would like it better if the print were a little bit larger. The text is mainly turquoise (nice), with some brown text used also. I was surprised by the cover when it arrived. It is mainly an aqua patterned cloth (called vintage blue floral) with a brown artificial leather strip (espresso) across the center. It is very pretty but not like the picture on Amazon, which is a picture of the box it comes in with a small amount of the Bible showing through an opening in the cover. They really should show just the Bible without the cover.
