Step-by-Step to Inspiration (or: A Life-Changing Book!)

John Marshall Roberts really has put together a powerful "Persuasion Manual for Visionaries".

The title alone leaves room for imagination what went through the author's head, because after reading through the book you realize that none of Roberts' ideas is about "persuasion" but much rather inspiration.

Nothing I could write in this review would be able to give even a glimpse of the depth of the material Roberts presented here.

All I can say is that this outstanding piece of work on Spiral Dynamics and how it applies to authentic marketing which can be used to inspire people for creating a better world (e.g. sustainability) will drastically change your life. Even if you do not plan to inspire other people or to create marketing campaings this book is a must-read, simply because it offers a whole new understanding of the world and the people that live in it. I now see the framework that is discussed here everywhere around me which also serves as a powerful tool to master all types of situations.

"Igniting Inspiration" found me at the perfect time. Roberts' manual is easy to understand and more importantly implement, in real life and artistic endeavors. This book gives so much insight into the goings on in different types of psyches. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to impact people through their work and be a more effective communicator. The system makes something nuanced and complex into something readily understandable and the entire system is really a gift.

This a book that chalenged my unexamined assuptions on why I have so often had the experience forget them , you will never reach them, ect and yet also have felt that Togeather we can work wonders. Now for the first time I can see why I have felt at both ends of the poles in working with groups. When things worked it was so wonderfull and fullfiling and at other times I thought I will never work with another group for the rest of my life! Now I can see why I have felt that way.
Like most people I was never given the Map or the context in which to understand the dynamics that make us humans tick the way John lays it out.
I am in awe of how he demystifies such seemingly complex interactions and shows us how we all can learn to have the ability to inspire others as we also inspire ourselves.
I have read some of the best books ever written, the kind that forever change your world view and leave you with increased hope and compasion while also energizing you to go even further, this is one of those books, I am simply Inspired, which according to John is our natural state!
