The Visionary Speaks Again!

I have to say up front that I am huge Tom Peters fan. I am big on WOW!

I love the message of Re-imagine! and I agree with many of the points he makes along the way. If you are looking for a refreshing/challenging take on the future business model then I suggest you purchase this book.

However...

Re-imagine! is a trifle repetitious for my liking. I believe that most people who pick up a Tom Peters book are intelligent, educated folks. We usually get it the first time, if not the second - but by the third or fourth time we are becoming annoyed.

I like some of the format changes that he is experimenting with - the callouts are relevant and value added. The design is different and exciting but some of the color combinations and graphics make it difficult to read.

This is a good book to pick up and read in short bursts - it does not demand to be completed in one sitting and the format gives information in easily digestible nuggets.

The final verdict - Re-imagine! belongs in the library of anyone who plans to be working in the next decade!

Very Refreshing and Insightful

This is the best business book I have ever read. The writing and style of the book is very non-traditional compared to other books in this category which is refreshing and engaging all at once. Re-imagine! appealed to both my engineering and business background and has made me rethink the way I look at things and will definitely influence the way I run my company and projects in the future. Relevant information for our time and a must read for anyone desiring a fresh perspective.

Tom Peters' book "Re-imagine!" will help you look at yourself and your company in a different light. We all have to come to grips with the fact that the rules of business have changed and will continue to change. "Re-imagine!" helps you develop a mindset that engages change. I love the attitude of the book that we must "Relish the Mess". It's time to get our hands dirty, to go out and "play" as hard as we can in order to find out just how we can "put a dent in the world". To many individuals and companies are comfortable with incremental improvement from year to year. "Re-imagine!" shows us that nothing truly remarkable comes from playing it safe and making only incremental improvements. "Re-imagine!" is about putting yourself at risk, working incredibly hard, failing fast and finding your unique way to change the world. After all, if you're not out to change the world, why bother?
