A little cheesy but fairly spot on

I am not finished with the book, but it has been helpful so far. I would say that if you go into it with a bad attitude like me, it doesn't help. Some of the time it says things in cheesy or slogan type ways. (That turns me off... I personally skip the questions.) However I think they have a lot of true and right things to say and it is being helpful to me as it would be to most Christians who genuinely want to seek God. I like that they put the focus on God and not your weight so you can apply the things in it to other areas of your life. It wouldn't do much for non-christians. Overall, I recommend it.

The Lords Table

I have ordered this study for 7 women in the last two months. It has been most eye opening for me. I have been on some sort of diet my whole life only to always gain weight back, my weight has fluctuated 10-25 lbs for the past 20 years. I have been on the program for only 10 days, but it has caused me to see the issue is not in what I eat but what is my motive for eating, boredom, loneliness, losing weight to look good. I want my focus to be Christ that in all I do may it be done unto him. Overeating is only a habit, no self control.
This study has taught me to have more self control, self discipline and eat smaller protions. The Lord made our bodies to tell us when we are hungry, if I listen to that I have no desire to eat all day long. I thank Mike Cleveland and his wife for putting this study together and making it available to the public. I advertise it everyday I think because I beleive in the teaching so much. I'm actually ordering another one this morning:)

God has put together this awesome group of brothers and sisters who support each other in our walk to be all God wants us to be. The Lords Table

This book open my eyes overeating is a sin. The truth is without God we are powerless, you might be able to loose the weight and some may keep it off, but most of us won't be able to do it on your own. The weight will come back because we have nothing to hold on. I recommend this book to anyone that has tried all sorts of weight loss program and are not able to loose the weight. Give it a try follow the program and you will learn a lot about God and at the same time loose the weight forever.

This book is an excellent book to help you get your life on track. You can't help but get closer to God and become more Christ-like. One great side effect is losing weight. I would recommend this book to everyone.
