Christian chick lit

Scary reading if you already have nightmares about your kids being snatched by perverts in the park. The cast of characters struggle realistically with their faith. The good guys get the bad guy in the end, and the cancer patient goes into remission. There's a sequel--FBI agent Michael Parker and Hanna Kessler, sister of Michael's boss, are currently in a relationship glitch, so get ready for the next installment!

HEALING PROMISES by Amy Wallace is the second installment in the Defenders of Hope Series. The main characters from RANSOMED DREAMS carry over to this novel, but the focus immediately shifts to FBI Agent Clint Rollins when he is shot during a standoff. His ensuing tests reveal that recovering from a bullet wound will be the least of his troubles. In fact, he's in for the battle of his life. Sarah Rollins, his oncologist wife, has always been grounded in her faith, but when her worst fears hit so close to home she feels her hope faltering.
Despite his personal struggles, Clint is committed to tracking down a kidnapper who preys on young boys. Frustrated with the limitations his current treatments are putting on his body and his mind, Clint struggles with information from past cases interfering with his fact finding skills on the case that is quickly turning into serial proportions. He knows his mind is stronger than his body, but fixating on previous information could possibly mean the life of another boy, maybe even the life of his own son.

An excellent book, full of suspense and sadness but it made you look into yourself. Reminding me again that God is still in control and He is good.

Healing Promises

I purchased and read all three of the "Defenders of Hope" series and enjoyed them all. Healing Promises was by far my favorite. Wallace treats the subject of cancer with empathy and truth. This novel gives real insight into a very difficult subject. It is an excellent read and difficult to put down. Wonderful

This is the second of a series of three phenomenal books! I really enjoyed this author. She reminded me of Dee Henderson and her great novels. Anyone who like christian suspense books this is a great series.
