AN INSPIRED CONSUMER

As a first-time reader of her work,
I found "Redeeming Love" breathlessly refreshing. Ms. Rivers superb melding of the spiritual and carnal aspects was, for me,certainly one of the intriguing qualities of the book.Being able to get into the heads, heart and minds of the characters so easily made me forget at times that this was a fictional novel.
I thoroughly enjoyed this novel and will most certainly continue to read her books.

This book grabbed me early on. This is the first Francine Rivers book I've read and it won't be the last. She wasn't afraid to shy away from the more controversial issues like many other Christian fic authors are. I may be a Christian, but I'm not naive. I believe some of the most powerful stories are birthed through dire situations. I dunno if I'm in the minority, but just because something is labeled 'Christian' doesn't mean it needs to be rated G. I'm an adult woman and don't automatically shut my eyes to how the world works. This work is gritty and real which I appreciate and is sadly missing in Christian fiction.

One of My Favorite Books of all Time

I could not put this book down. The last 30 pages I was literally weeping with joy. It touched my heart and soul in a way no other book, but the Bible has. I loved it. it totally reminded me that no matter how much the people of this world love you, we are all a child of God and he loves us so much more. I just loved, loved, loved this book. Even for non-believers - which the main character was - this is just such a beautifully written book!
