So Encouraging

This woman did her homework, took her own life in her hands and healed herself with an alternative form of medicine. She had lots of Faith in our Lord. Without God, i couldn't do it. I had a lumpectomy and no radiation or chemo. Just changed my eating habits and livestyle, homepathic herbs and care from a Homepathic Dr., prayer/healing scriptures. i am also going on protocel. its a preventative as well as healing. I now have thermograms instead of mammograms. i feel the mammograms caused my cancer. My Grandma, Mother, Sister and Aunts never got mammograms and never had any problems. I am thankful for all the women out there who are sharing their stories. God Bless them:

Until modern medicine finds a cure-which they don't have one to offer-more people are going to turn to Alternative Care.

New credo for alternative CURES: I WILL DO NO HARM!

Fifteen years ago, within a few months of our mother dieing of ovarian cancer, my oldest sister was diagnosed with breast cancer. I tried to tell her that there were alternative options to conventional medical ways to address breast cancer. She did not want to listen beyond that moment and had a radical mastectomy, followed by a second one within two years. I wish I knew of this book at that time so I could have provided it for her. She is an avid reader and I am confident she would have read it and probably not have opted for the "radical" treatment she chose. This book will save many women much misery and suffering by not subjecting themselves to being butchered, poisoned and fried with the narrow mindset of the conventional medical community. Indeed, alternative CURES do NO HARM. Thanks, Pamela for writing the book about your experiences and I will recommend it to many people. Bob

mastectomy also not a bad thing?

'Laura''s title: "Lumpectomy not such a bad thing vs. living in limbo for months!" shows that she didn't read this book carefully. Otherwise she would have understood that Pamela Hoeppner was facing a mastectomy, not 'just' a lumpectomy.

Anyway, my girlfriend was also adviced (read 'scared into') having a mastectomy, but lucky for us we found out about alternative ways of handeling (and looking at) cancer too. Three months after the first mammo and ultrasound (and positive biopsy) a ultrasound showed no more signs of the two tumors in her right breast! That was it, no more 'conventional wisdom for us!

Al we 'used' was GNM, a healthy diet (including megadoses of vitamin C and B17) and prayer.

I agree that it's a personal choice that nobody can (and should) take for you - not even (or least of all, we would say) the doctors out there. They only know what they 'learn' during their study (which is largely steered by Big Pharma).

Best wishes to all people diagnosed with cancer.

Essential Reading for every woman...and men too!

It's always "Whatcha-don't-know-that-kills-ya". In the business of your health management you absolutely have to have some solid information BEFORE the crisis is announced by your doctor.

I've read more than a dozen books on the topic of how the allopathic "health care" systems are driven by money, greed, arrogance and treachery. Your good health is not at the root of their plans and actions. Statistics are clear that the "standard of care...surgery, chemo, radiation..are a dismal failure and while the FDA and the drug companies are agressively killing successful and inexpensive, so-alled "alternative" approaches to cancer, this disease is raging out of control with no end in sight. Furthermore, nothing to stem the epidemic is showing up from the billions spent on their research which continues to pretend that they actually are seeking a cure for cancer. Does anyone believe that they seriously want to end a trillion dollar per year portion of our services economy? Please!

Actually their "standard of care" should be the "alternative" AFTER the body has been detoxified and brought back up to high nutritional status which is difficult but possible in America with the food industry being addicted to soil-depleting chemical fertilizers, chemical pesticides and chemical herbicides. All in the name of progress, of course. But that is not part of Pamela's story.

Pamela's book is the most fun to read of all the books on this topic that I've read and basically I could not put it down. It is informative, humorous, educational and alarming. In this book you will learn the most important thing to know about your encounter with any kind of cancer which is "What to do first" if they suspect that you have a problem (I said "suspect"... not AFTER a biopsy has been performed).

However, for those of you have done what most Americans have done....that is, delegated your health care to the man in a white lab coat and because you probably take several prescription drugs as proof of your belief in thier system, this book may not ring true to you. For those of you who are already on your own path of holistic health practices and for the rest of you who are finally becoming suspicious of Big Pharma, and Big Medicine, this book is your cup of tea. Read it NOW....before you're caught in the trap of making a decision when they tell you something like, "You're going to die soon unless you do this procedure."

You have to be prepared ahead of time for this kind of shock because when the time comes you will be floored and unable to think straight. So, being prepared is essential. I also highly recommend Suzanne Sommers' "Knockout". Armed with the knowledge and experiences of these two female authors you will be prepared and you will take time to make a more informed decision about your situation. Not to mention that you just might begin to adopt behavior changes that very well could keep you in excellent health for the rest of your life!

These two books should be required reading for every high school senior.

After running her own successful business in Wellness Alternatives, Pamela Hoeppner faced the unthinkable. She was diagnosed with a malignant, fast-growing breast cancer. Pam declined all conventional treatment and chose an alternative approach with an impressive track record instead, which resulted in her full recovery. Convinced that mutilation and toxic treatments are not always necessary she wanted others to know there ARE options that don't involve devastating a person's body and their quality of life. In her inspiring book, The Breast Stays Put, with a delivery all her own, she shares her courageous story of overcoming a deadly diagnosis, and provides prevention and treatment information through her informative website www.TheBreastStaysPut.com. A wonderfully written first-hand account of how one woman overcame her life-threatening diagnosis of cancer using only alternative medicine. A must read for anyone diagnosed with breast cancer, but I highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning more about treating cancer with alternative therapies. David Brownstein, MD, Author of Drugs That Don't Work and Natural Therapies That Do All too often people are frightened into a medical or surgical course of action, when what they really need is encouragement to take control of their own health and path to wellness. Pam's story is a testimony to the benefits of doing just that. The Breast Stays Put is a beacon of hope that everyone facing serious illness should read. Bridget Houston, ND NHE Hoeppner has achieved something few writers can. She has turned a serious, scary subject into a fun read while presenting important life-saving information at the same time. I particularly enjoyed her unique brand of humor and her gutsy words of wisdom that can't help but infuse the reader with courage.
