Crystals

This book is one of the best I have used for identification of different crystals, and how they fit into our lives on emotional, physical, and spiritual levels. I literally use this book daily.

monotone

ok, well the book is pretty and all, but it is monotone in the fact that it mainly focuses in stuff such as healing, sicknesses and chakras, it's doesn't tell u much about the magickal properties such as protection and luck.... everything was pretty science-ish souding, as she was a doctor, if you are into healing i highly recommened it but if you are like me and want some magick info get something else

This is a reference book and is written in precise language that describes each property very clearly. I use this book frequently and honestly don't know what I would do without it!

Excellent Reference with Beautiful Photos

This is the first place I go if I have any questions about a crystal or gemstone . It is easy to find what you are looking for, the pictures are excellent, and the information is very helpful. The smaller size of 6½" by 5½" and sturdy cover makes it convenient to carry with you wherever you go.

The book has 400 pages including a good page of "Contents" which includes Crystal Formation, Crystal Selection, Crystal Care, Crystal Healing, Crystal Meditation and more for a total of 14 entries to choose from. Pages 6-9 are Crystal Reference and list alphabetically all the major crystals from Achroite to Zoisite. I especially enjoyed the 4 pages of Crystal Formation which has a good illustration of the geology of the earth's mantle showing how magma, pressure, & temperature result in the formation of crystals, including a gas bubble geode. Various crystal shapes are shown, including the "sputnik" form and an awesome photo of Aragonite in its sputnik crystal formation.

The photos are beautiful and very helpful when you are sitting there with a crystal in one hand and the book in the other trying to figure out what you have. Over 200 crystals are featured, and hundreds of wonderful color photos are included, generously scattered throughout the entire book. This book has all kinds of extras including entries about crystal protection, crystal attraction, and bringing love into your life.
