Something For Everyone

I am a student teacher/art education and used this book during my student teaching with third and fifth grade students. The "Crazy Cactus" project turned out beautifully as well as the still life project based on Vincent Van Gogh. This is my favorite project book so far because of the step-by-step instructions and illustrations including examples of student work. Only drawback is that some of the projects are too complex for the school environment but might be great for an after-school art enrichment program.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this book!!!

This is a GREAT art resource book. The projects are simple and doable, yet they all look so much harder than they are when they are finished! My kids ages 7 and 8 have done 5 projects now, and each one has turned out so cool! They love doing art projects, and I like feeling as though when we are finished, we have something to show for our work! Please bring us another book like this!!

Amazing Art Book, Great Ideas!

I am an artist and I have struggled to teach to my own children - they want to do whatever I am doing, and it's difficult for me to come up with interesting and age-appropriate projects. Got this book for myself in December and I have just started a small class of 3 children in my home. We have made the cactus collage and the cityscape so far, and we cannot wait to begin the rest. Next week is the fantasy space art. I LOVE that the projects take more than a few steps to complete - this is not 'quick art' . Some of the steps require them to sit wait for projects to dry, or require several different projects to be assembled together. This helps me teach my small group that great art is not made in fifteen minutes. In this culture of instant gratification, thank you Denise Logan for this terrific book. The fantasy space art project includes teachable lessons on light and shadow, 3-D shapes, texture, splatter painting, foreground and background... GREAT ideas. I can't wait to do the Paul Klee landscape, pastel projects, Banyan tree, printmaking and contour drawing. So many kids art and crafts books dumb-down all the projects into ridiculously simple activities, but not this one. PLEASE write another book - we will be done with this in one year!

Kudos to Dynamic Are Projects for Children

This book was one of the most exciting project books I've ever purchased, and I've purchased a lot. I have taught an after school and summer Art program at my elementary school for over twelve years and this book will be used for my entire program this summer. The step by step instructions, pictures, and finished art work by students was exceptional. This book was priceless to me!

Best art book ever!

A very good art book if you are looking for ideas of projects to teach children art. I just teach art out of my home and I look through a LOT of different books and sources for my classes and this is the best book I have ever found as far as a resource. Highly recommend it!
