This book is an example of what a great printmaking catalogue raisonne should be. For every single print, there is a detailed description of the paper, process, printer, edition number, etc. While most of the prints are not printed full page, the book is still large enough to still have good image size--however, several of his really outstanding prints are printed full page which is wonderfull. Highly recommended to Motherwell fans and printmakers alike.

Hopefully Hudson Hills gets cracking on a Motherwell Painting/Collage catalogue.

Contains the complete grapic works of Robert Motherwell as well as an essay on his print making history and catalogs more than 500 editions in every printmaking medium.
