THOUSANDS of QUOTES

If anyone tries to claim this book is full of hogwash, is full of it themselves.

Not only does David Barton give thousands of quotes; from our many founding fathers, law writers of that time, judges of that time, language in state drafts, personal letters, etc, etc, he also gives you such a complete list of where everything came from, and TELLS YOU to look it up yourself! He went directly to primary sources. He also gives you the full Constitution, Declaration of Independence and mini bio of all involved.

The book is almost 1 1/2" thick of amazing information.

We cannot deny the Christian roots of the majority of people and why they fled to a new land. It was NOT to be FREE of religion, it was FOR the freedom to EXPRESS IT and Christianity WAS the religion of the majority. WHY is God not mentioned in the Constitution? This goes right back to GOD not pushing Himself on anyone, FREE WILL = A FREE REPUBLIC = CHOICE.

I married a man who never grew up with God in his life and he even said "You know, if you don't want to believe in Christ, fine, but why all the offense over our true history? Why lie about it and try to change it?"

This makes a wonderful homeschooling book as well!

Well worth reading!

An excellent book, well researched, well worth your time. It's a very accurate & detailed book regarding the original intent of our Founding Fathers in supporting religious freedom when they wrote the Constitution. It brings new light to many of the areas of freedom that are being stripped from us today.

overwhelming info

In this book I have learned more than I even knew I didn't know. I have learned that our national voice pre- 1920's was overwhelmingly God centered. Why is that totally left out of our education system of today. Frankly, the more I read the more angry I'm getting. The absence of information in our education is criminal.

Which sources are more credible... original sources or second hand accounts? In this authoritative thoroughly researched text David Barton absolutely and completely dispells the myth that we "are not a Christian nation". Hundreds of original documents as well as dozens of Supreme Court decisions up to 1947 prove this fact. Barton sets the record straight of the mischaracterization of Jefferson's "wall of separation" phrase in a letter to the Danbury Baptists as well. Those of you who stand with the academic elites should review their sources. In most of their books they do not cite any.
