ATK Family Baking Book

This is a great book, with tips that have been tested multiple times. It is more than a book just for beginners. This book offers something for anyone that bakes. I found that The Anmerica's Test Kitchen Family Family Baking Book was cheaper on Amazon than at yor local bookstores. I would recommend this book to anyone that has a desire to bake.

Excellent read for beginners up to accomplished home bakers. Take the time to read and understand what the Test Kitchen discovered experimenting with the recipies. Outstanding tips for beginners and "reminders" for more advanced bakers.

Great lessons in baking combined with some fun recipes!

I own a lot of cookbooks (for awhile I had a cookbook buying addiction) so for any particular cookbook to stand out to me it really needs to impress. The America's Test Kitchen Family Baking Book passes the test in my book, with detailed explanations of their methodology, which has already improved my cheater-style of cooking (if there's no reason for doing something a certain way, why not go the easy route?) Anyways, I am happy to report that since this book has come to live on top of my flour tub we've made a couple of fantastic muffin batches, some great chocolate chip cookies, and some really fun strawberry poke cake. At Amazon's price, it's well worth clearing out some dated cookbooks to make room for this one.

This is a great cookbook because of the precise instructions. I have made things with this cookbook I have only dreamed about making in the past. The recommendations are right as rain. I have been baking for many years and have always wanted to try some more complicated breads and cakes but have never had the confidence of each step this cookbook gives you.
