Extremely well written

This book stands out from most other intro books in how well it is written. Surprisingly, it has no more inaccuracies than I've found in intro textbooks by statisticians. Particularly good are the reviews of assumptions for tests. The examples are good but not extensive. As an intro book for medical statistics, I think it might be the best out there. The clarity of describing statistical issues is its strength.

Intuitive Biostatistics and Me

This is an excellent addition to my personal, work library of biostatistics and statistics textbooks. I purchased it specifically since it has a formula for calculating confidence intervals for ratios. This formula was not in my favorite statistics textbook, "Statistical Methods" by Snedecor and Cochran. I highly recommend "Intuitive Biostatistics" to other routine users of statistical methods in the field of biology.

Cheap and useful!

This book is useful for some basic statistics, but for more complex statistics not so much. But, I guess if you do not know anything about statistics it will be very helpful. It has lots of relevant examples to biological experiments, which makes much easier for someone with biology/medical background and little knowledge in statistics.

Good for anyone dealing with Statistics

Good book covering many of the more esoteric aspects of statistics. If you deal with statistics on any level I would recommend this book.

Anyone that has a fear, loathing, distrust, or any other aversion to statistics should give this book a try.
